Why choose Burgunie carpet—geometry and texture for premium commercial spaces

Since 2003, Burgunie has pursued international spatial aesthetics through original R&D, minimalist design, precision manufacturing and full project delivery for premium modular carpet tiles. With more than three decades of craft, we combine artistic finish with practical performance to empower high-end commercial buildings with tailored, end-to-end flooring solutions.

Burgunie leads commercial carpet design with diverse, refined patterns and full product coverage—no generic templates. Mature manufacturing supports flexible customisation and special sizes. Every product is rigorously tested for stable performance: acoustic comfort, thermal insulation, green credentials, stain resistance and mould protection, with a warm underfoot feel for offices, mixed-use and public spaces.

International vision, brand depth and professional focus define Burgunie. Built on market trust, we invest in R&D, process upgrades and aesthetic evolution. From a global perspective and Chinese manufacturing excellence, we explore new possibilities in commercial space design and bring fresh energy to the worldwide carpet industry.

What is the difference between carpet tiles and broadloom?

Carpet tiles install in standard modules (50×50 cm or 25×100 cm). Damaged tiles swap individually for faster install and lower maintenance. Broadloom requires full-width installation and removal. Burgunie focuses on modular tiles.

What sizes are in the Burgunie series?

Burgunie currently offers the following modular carpet tile series on this site, grouped by format:

50 cm × 50 cm (Square Tiles): BR001, BR002, Haina, QF100, QF200, QF300, QF600, QF700, QF800, QF900, Baichuan, Checker, T9100.

33.33 cm × 100 cm (Plank Tiles): Cityscape, Gem, Maze, Sea, Mountain, Starry Sky, Dream, Field, Net, Rubik, QF500, High Way, Mousse.

50 cm × 100 cm (Wide Plank): LuxMarble.

25 cm × 100 cm (Narrow Plank): BR003.

See each series page in Products for colours and technical data, or download catalogues from the Downloads centre.

What is solution-dyed fibre?

Solution dyeing adds colour during extrusion so pigment runs through the fibre. It resists fading and heavy cleaning—ideal for commercial traffic. All BR series use solution-dyed polyester.

Where is ASTM E84 Class A required?

ASTM E84 Class A is a widely recognized flame-spread rating for offices, hotels, retail and most commercial public spaces. Always follow project fire design specs.

How are carpet tiles installed and maintained?

Install adhesive-free (tab backing) or with glue. Vacuum regularly; replace individual tiles when stained or worn. Use entrance matting and inspect high-traffic zones periodically.

How to extend carpet service life

Place pads under furniture legs or move furniture periodically. For heavily worn areas, use protective covers or rotate tiles to spread wear. Dust collects in the pile—vacuum regularly in the direction of the pile to keep the carpet clean.

Experts recommend vacuuming at least once a week. Pure suction, beater-bar and rotating-brush vacuums suit cut-pile carpets; loop-pile carpets should be cleaned with suction-only machines. On the final pass, always vacuum in the pile direction.

Never use toothed or sharp-edged tools—they damage face fibres. If pile becomes matted or reversed, wipe with a clean towel dampened in hot water, comb straight, then steam-iron through a damp cloth following the pile direction to restore the surface.

What are the advantages of our POE backing?

Burgunie Bogue Green series uses Dow polyolefin elastomer (POE) backing to bring lifestyle quality into modular carpet tile design. POE backing outperforms conventional EVA and PVC in performance, environmental profile and processability—making it ideal for commercial carpet tiles.

Performance advantages of Dow polyolefin carpet backing

  • Low density for lighter installations
  • Higher tuft bind for more secure pile
  • Improved abrasion resistance
  • Excellent flexibility for varied substrates
  • Design flexibility, including coloured backing options

What is polyolefin elastomer (POE)?

Polyolefin materials are thermoplastic resins produced by copolymerising ethylene with α-olefins. Burgunie selects Dow POE, metallocene-catalysed ethylene–octene copolymer, whose performance exceeds many conventional elastomers.

Five core POE properties

  • Soft octene chains and crystalline ethylene cross-links deliver toughness and easy processing
  • No unsaturated double bonds—excellent ageing resistance
  • Narrow molecular weight distribution and good flow improve filler dispersion
  • Purpose-designed molecular structure for higher heat resistance than standard polyolefin elastomers
  • No benzene rings or halogens—more environmentally friendly

Versatile applications

POE elastomer outperforms PVC, EVA, SBR, EMA and EPDM in many applications—from automotive and cable sheathing to plastic toughening and commercial carpet backing.

Performance requirements for tile backing

  • Flatness: curling is the main risk; backing must provide flexural stiffness
  • Dimensional stability: minimal growth in heat and humidity to avoid buckling; minimal shrinkage in cold dry conditions to keep seams tight
  • Easy installation: tunable flexibility, good floor contact, no cracking in cold weather
  • Indoor air quality: meets VOC standards per local regulations and client specs
  • Transport heat resistance: trailers can reach 60–80 °C in summer; backing needs adequate tensile strength

POE advantages over EVA

  • Better tensile strength and toughness
  • Better dimensional stability
  • Superior weather resistance
  • Excellent flexural fracture resistance
  • Excellent hot-room processing heat resistance
  • Low odour

POE advantages over PVC

  • Superior low-temperature performance
  • Better flexibility and impact resistance
  • No phthalate plasticisers—more eco-friendly
  • No plasticiser migration—longer product life
  • Lower density for lighter weight and higher output efficiency
  • Excellent processing heat stability, low odour and low VOC
  • Easy to recycle, supporting sustainability goals
